Sad that the stump with the two leaves is gone already, I like that one the most (something about the spot the leaves are in, their color as well as the root-placement and the position of the little holes). I’m glad to hear they don’t work ‘too’ well, I like the idea of keeping tea warm but with some tea light holders it’s so hot I can’t take more than a sip.
Something I’ve been wondering about is how wide the stumps are at the top? Many mugs I have are quite wide, some are nearing 10cm at the base.
That’s a good question! All the stumps are at least 10cm across and the largest one is about 10.5cm.
The two leafed one was also my favourite, it was the last one I made and I started getting a bit carried away. The leaves are attached via a kiln safe wire that is embedded in both sides, rather than being fused, it means they are a little less likely to break off in transit, but also they are somewhat repositionable (tho I wouldn’t do it too much or the wire will snap). They are all the same colour as the two-leafed one, they just appear darker because of the angle they were on when I photographed them originally, but you could tilt it back just a bit so the light hits it differently.
