Whoops. I really didn’t mean to be sending another newsletter so quickly. Sorry about that.
I promise it won’t be a regular thing. Usually you won’t hear from me for months.
BUT
I wanted to let you know about the shop update that I finally decided to give myself a deadline for. It will be July 30th at 12 est…or edt I can’t remember which one we’re on right now because it’s bullshit anyway but one of you nerds called me out on it once so now I get anxious about it but not anxious enough to Google it. Anyway, that’s when it is! For Patrons, who get a head start, it will be July 29th at noon est/edt/TORONTO TIME, which is my birthday! And as such, rather than a sale which makes no sense to me (why would I pay myself less for all my hard work on my birthday of all days?!) there will be a separate Birthday Gift listing which you can choose to add to your order. There is also a tip option I think? I gotta double check but I thought I turned it on a while back. Anyway, if you feel so inclined you can take advantage of those. But no pressure from me, tip or no tip, if you choose to order from me on my birthday or any day of the year I love you so much and wish all your tote bags will always have the correct length handles.
Some housekeeping: I think I have resumed shipping to the EU again. Shopify was being a bit of a butthead, but I think I sorted it out. I have removed surface shipping for anywhere outside of the US and Canada. I’m sorry, but it doesn’t have tracking and was taking months to arrive, and there was absolutely nothing I could do once it left my hands. And when I got your sad emails about it, I would be sad, and I just don’t need more reasons to be sad these days.
All the prices below are in Canadian dollars and shipping is calculated separately. Nothing in your cart is safe but also I am not a Big Artist who sells out, like ever, I have never sold out. I know I make one of a kind things, so I guess I do sell out…of a specific thing, but in all honesty, it’s rare that more than one of you really wants something enough to buy it. Plus you can always just ask me to make it again, I probably will. So you have time to put multiple items in a single order. In fact I am begging you to please do that. It is such a pain in the tuchus to combine orders in shopify (I can’t actually combine orders, I just pack it all in one and label the second as fulfilled and have to add items on to the manifest so that customs doesn’t hate me, which messes with my inventory so please for the love of dog just put it in one order I’m begging you). If you don’t, I may just get fed up and ship you two separate packages. Oddly enough on more than one occasion it’s somehow been cheaper and I still can’t quite work out how that happened. Anyway, if you are really concerned about losing out on a specific item, I suggest signing up for my patreon, it’s only $1, you can get your 24hr head start and then you can cancel your sub afterwards if you want. My feelings won’t be hurt…probably.

And then I’ll probably be back to let you know about new workshops, new shop updates, new in-person appearances…or maybe I’ll just pop in to say hi and show you some things I’ve been working on, who knows!
